1. Core boundary
Kestrel does not supervise, verify, endorse, arrange, or control private conversations, transactions, travel, housing arrangements, employment arrangements, romantic relationships, business deals, or in-person meetings between members. Members participate voluntarily and at their own risk.
2. Verify before you rely
- Do not assume another member’s identity, role, qualifications, intentions, offer, or safety has been verified.
- Independently verify schools, jobs, employers, housing, visas, service providers, investments, and relocation offers.
- Do not send money, deposits, passport copies, banking credentials, passwords, tax records, or sensitive identification without independent verification and a legitimate reason.
3. Safer in-person meetings
- Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust, and keep control of your transportation.
- Avoid immediate financial exchanges and protect your home address, travel documents, and live location.
- An event is official only when Kestrel clearly labels it official in the Kestrel event calendar and identifies an authorized host.
4. Reporting and moderation
Report harassment, hate speech, threats, impersonation, doxxing, scam attempts, predatory offers, sexual misconduct, or other suspicious behavior in Kestrel-controlled spaces. Kestrel may consider credible off-platform evidence when conduct creates a meaningful community risk.
Kestrel may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove users for harmful conduct. Discord direct messages and off-platform communications are not continuously monitored.
5. Immediate danger
Kestrel does not promise real-time emergency response. If you or another person faces immediate danger, contact the emergency services available in your location and move to a safer place when possible.
